In terms of elegant game design, few games could be compared to Through the Ages. It is brilliant in its complexity and its challenging experience.
TtA is not for everyone. It is long. It is complex. It is difficult to learn. It is a thought-provoking, brain-burning, confrontational experience. Building a successful civilization in Through the Ages promotes a feeling of constant, hard work. And all the while, your opponent could be plotting a military take down of what you've worked hard to build.
Not for the faint of heart. But if what I've said in this review gets you excited, then don't wait another second. Buy this game.
