    Favorites come and go for me. But there is one favorite that has come, and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon: Puerto Rico.

    The more I play this game, the more I want to play it. Everybody else to whom I introduce it feels the same. Every decision has a game-changing effect. Every player at the table will manipulate the outcome with every decision. The mechanics come together in the most elegantly, subtlely, magnificently interactive way.

    Before you can call yourself a "gamer," you better own Puerto Rico--or have played it a lot. If not, you're credibility is gonezo.

    Bottom line: Buy Puerto Rico. You won't regret it.
