Q. What are your hours? How do I contact you?
A. You may order online 24 hrs. a day. Our office staff is available M-F 10-5 pm MST.

Q: Where are you located? Do you have a storefront?
A: Our office is located in Roy, Utah. We currently do not have a storefront.
Q: Can I pick up the item instead of having it shipped?
A: Absolutely. Our office is located in Roy, UT. Local customers may choose to pick up their orders by selecting “local pickup” during the checkout process. Unpaid orders will be held for 2 days after we have contacted you via phone. Paid orders will be held until pickup. After your order is received, you will be contacted via phone to confirm that your order is available for pickup and the address will be provided.
Pickup times are Tuesdays 5-8pm and Thursdays 5-8pm except December.
Pickup times in December will be daily. We will contact you to schedule accordingly.
All unpaid orders will need to be paid upon pickup by either check or exact cash. We do not keep cash on hand for change. If you have any questions regarding your pickup order, please call 801.251.6340.
Q. Do you price match other store prices?
A: Sorry we do not price match. We feel our prices are very competitive with what is offered out there. If you feel a game is priced too high feel free to contact us to discuss it.
Q: I live out of state (outside of Utah) and selected "Local Pickup" during checkout. What now?
A: You will receive an email confirming if this is correct. If you live out of state (outside of Utah) then you will have to confirm an authorized individual by you that will come pick this game up. If you selected this in error, then I will calculate your shipping costs and get a new total for you.
Q: How do I check out?
A: In order to provide you with the best possible customer support we ask that you create an account with us. During that process you will give your email address and mailing address. After that you will be able to add addresses to your address book. If your billing address and mailing address are the same as the one you just entered you only need to enter then one more time. In the future you will only click on the address you want to use. Next, select your method of shipping and payment and watch your email for confirmation and updates. Local pickup orders will also be contacted via phone.
Q: Can I pay with a credit card?
A: Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. During checkout you will be directed through PayPal where you do not need an account. After entering your information on the secure website you will be directed back to a confirmation page here at www.boardgameguy.com
Q: Can I pay by check?
A: Yes, When you check out you will have that option. An address will be provided to you so you can mail it to us. However, we will wait until the bank clears this check to send your order. Once approved by the bank your order will be shipped. This process may take an additional 2-5 business days upon receiving you check. If the Check does not clear we will suspend your order until we receive payment. We reserve the right at anytime during this process to cancel/decline the order.
Q: I can't find a game on your website. Are you able to order it in?
A: Yes, most of the time we can order in any game you want at significantly discounted prices. We are still posting our inventory online so we might also have it in stock even if it's not listed on the website yet.
Q: I'm having trouble with the website, can I order over the phone?
A: Absolutely. Call 801.251.6340 and we can process your order over the phone.
Q: Do you ship games internationally?
A: Yes. In order to place an international order (including Canada) and determine shipping costs please send an email to: ryan@boardgameguy.com
To give you a shipping cost, we will need the games you are purchasing and your shipping address.

Q: There is no "Add to Cart" choice under the game I’m looking at? When I try to add it to my cart it says it is unavailable, what does this mean?
A: This means the game is currently out of stock. Games are re-ordered as soon as we are out and are received if the distributor has them available. If you have a question on the status of a particular game you're interested in that is currently listed as unavailable, please contact me at ryan@boardgameguy.com or 801.336.7616.
Q: What do the different order status’ mean?
A: The following is a list of the status’ you may see on your account
“Awaiting Fulfillment” – We have received your order (Thank You) but have not yet processed it or you have items on this order that are pre-order items that we are waiting to get in.
“Awaiting Shipment” – Your order has been pulled/put together/boxed and your games are waiting to be sent to their new home.
“Awaiting Payment” – Waiting to receive your check or cash for local pickup or waiting for your e-check to clear payment.
“Awaiting Pickup” – You will be contacted shortly and given instructions on getting your games or your games are waiting patiently for their new home.
“Shipped” – Games have shipped to you and a tracking number has been added to your account.
“Completed” – Tracking number verifies that the games have made it to their destination or you have picked them up. Your order is complete. Enjoy playing your new games!
Q: Do you recycle?
A: Yes
Q: I’m missing some parts from my new game, what now?
A: We do not carry replacement parts on hand unfortunately. Game companies are more than happy to send you the replacement parts you need to complete your game. We can point you in the right direction or send you a link to help you get those parts if you’d like us to just Contact us
Q: Hey where is all the wargames/miniatures/role playing games, etc….?
A: We would love to carry all of these items however, warehouse restrictions limit us on stocking everything. We cannot order Warhammer 40K and Warmachine though. But we can order GMT games, Columbia Games, Wyrd Minatures, Spartan Games, most role playing games, terrain in all variations, paint, paint supplies, dice…I mean lots o dice, Mercs, Litko Accessories and more. Just contact us and we’ll see what we can do and we’ll stay competitive to the market on these items.
Q: I see you have some dice, can I get some more/different ones?
A: Yes, we can order in and have access to a myriad of different companies that create/ sell dice. If you know of a specific kind you’d like or generally what you would like we can send you some information and get these ordered for you.
Q: I've place an order that has pre-ordered items. Will you ship what's in stock now, and the rest as they arrive?
A: No, your order will ship when everything is available. If you want items shipped separately, you would have to place separate orders. Expenses on shipping prohibit us on doing this.
Q: How can I get the latest update on my pre-ordered items?
A: We will update the individual game pages if we get new information on the arrival date of that game.
Q: My pre-orders are taking longer than I expected. Can you send what you have now and ship the rest later?
A: We can split orders into multiple shipments, but you will have to pay for each shipment. We have no control over availability of pre-orders and we can't afford to ship orders piece by piece since this would be very expensive. We hold an order until all items are ready for shipping. We hold all items in your order for you.
