About Us

In the past, game nights consisted of games like Monopoly and Scrabble. The world of boardgames has evolved and has brought with it games that are more challenging, innovative, less playing time and has a higher replay probability. Games like Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, and Settlers of Catan are quickly becoming some of the most popular games out there. Games like these are only the gateway to the many award winning designer boardgames available that will have you gathered around the table with your family and friends for game night.

During these economic times, boardgames provide a greater outlet for entertainment, time away from the TV and video games to enjoy a more social interaction with friends and family. These games have tremendous replay ability. And with the constraint on most people's time, they also offer quicker play, with many games lasting 60-90 minutes or less.

The purpose of boardgameguy.com is to expand the board gaming hobby through teaching, playing and selling games.

This website is designed both for people who are just beginning in the world of boardgames, and the crazy gamers who live and breathe for the next expansions of their favorite games.
